Im gutted. Sharon, Chorley, Lancs

15.09.2008 : Tom Marchbank wrote Off to the Great Gig in the Sky but what a legacy he leaves behind. Was at the Main Road, Manchester gig in '88 - what a show!

15.09.2008 : Paul Stone wrote What sad news. Rick was a wonderful musician whose brilliant contribution to the Floyd's output has often been overlooked. My lasting memories will be seeing and hearing him play A Saucerful of Secrets on the Royal Albert Hall organ in 1969, and the beautifully haunting sequence at the end of Cirrus Minor....

15.09.2008 : phil morris wrote Shine on you loverly diamond.

15.09.2008 : Cheryl MacLeod wrote I saw him in 2006 in Glasgow, touring with David Gilmour and he was fab. It made me realise tonight what has been lost. He looked like a kind and wonderful man, but also he could play floyd music like no one else on the planet - there are some tracks that can just never be played live the same again. I am truly sad at Richard's passing, but I am also incredibly happy to have enjoyed such a wonderful talent. God bless you Richard. XX

16.09.2008 : gary marsh wrote I have seen Pink Floyd three times in total and managed to catch them at Earls Court in 1994.
Rick was a superb musician/songwriter and his work was much underrated,as he was always in the shadow of Gilmour and Waters.
I play keyboards myself(badly) and he has always been a major inspiration for me.
Today is indeed a sad day for music, he will be sorely missed.

16.09.2008 : Gavin Jones wrote Richard Wright was in my opinion a genius, a highly original, profoundly creative and incredibly talented musician. Pink Floyd are my favourite band and i feel sad that i will never get the opportunity to see the great man live. Shine on Richard, you will forever be remembered and loved.

16.09.2008 : Dominic Beresford wrote I'm a 30 year old musician who first had the powerful experience of listening to Pink Floyd when i was 11 years old. It was Rick Wrights beautiful performance and chord progression on Great gig in the sky which blew my mind in particular then, and still does to this day.

I wish all Rick's family and friends my deepest condolenses.
His gorgeous music will live on forever.
Cheers, Rick. You'll be sadly missed by me and millions of others.

16.09.2008 : Iain Crozier wrote Such a talented and creative artist. Incredible lasting memory of concert at Chantilly,Paris for The Division Bell tour. Effects were enhanced by lightning storm in the distance behind the stage which seemed to flash in time with the music. Anyone who was there must remember one of the greatest gigs ever played. Pink Floyd's music was a massive part of my life and Rick was integral to most of my favourite tracks...Sadly missed.

16.09.2008 : Ruth Lurie wrote I am one of the lucky ones - to have grown up with such music in my life.
Seen you all over the world through the years but no better time than the last, with David in Manchester.
We'll always Remember That Night.
I feel as though I have lost a friend.
Thank you for playing 'Wearing The Inside Out'
You will be sadly missed.

16.09.2008 : George Crane wrote I was very sad to hear that this incredible keyboard master had passed away. The Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here - along with Animals and Medle were all cornerstones of my and many others youth.
For everyone who has followed Pink Floyd, Mr Wright's passing is the end of an era. For what it is worth - my condolences and appreciation to his family and colleagues.
