22.04.2008 : Janine Porter` wrote My husband and I both grew up with Al's music. We loved him very much. My husband Donald was neighbors with Al's family in Colton at the JLJ. He also played with Al's brother Freddy in the Mighty Kings of Harmony.
We would like to send the family and friends of Al's a heart felt prayer. Also we would like to come to his going home service. God Bless and Keep His Family Comforted!

22.04.2008 : Sam Martin wrote I will always remember Al Wilson from his early days of his career when he would come into Alvin's Music Center in San Bernardino. I was a 16 year old teenager working for my uncle making custom tapes and Al would come in straight from the studio where he had just made a recording and ask me to put the muisc on a 4-Track tape (this was 1969-70) so he could ride around in his Camaro listening to his music. He would always say, "Sam, my greastest fan is me". He was such a positive and jovial person. I was saddend today to receive a phone call from my brother Barry with the news of his passing. God bless the family... Sam Martin Jr.

23.04.2008 : Eloise Blanks-Howard wrote I would like to send my deepest sympathy to my family in San Bernardino for the loss of Uncle Al. I didn't see him much as a child, but I remember the times he and my uncles and aunts would visit us in Meridian. I loved to hear him sing! I remember the last time he was home, we got him to sing "Show and Tell" in the front yard. Me and two of my nieces were his backup singers! Boy, was that fun! That was Uncle Al, he loved to have fun! Even though he's gone; his legacy will live on, because he was a part of our lives and will forever be in our heart.

23.04.2008 : Stephen Boyd wrote I'd like to offer my sincerest heart felt sympathy to the Family and Friends of Al Wilson. His phenomenal prolific talent is unique to say the least. I have never met Al Wilson or been to an Al Wilson Concert but Show and Tell resonates today as one of the best songs in my R & B Music Library. To that extent I have made it a staple in my Karaoke line up. I have performed a Karaoke version of Show and Tell many times over the years and audiences still respond emotionally to the content of that song. Many feel if they can’t see Al Wilson in concert hearing one of his songs from the Juke Box, played by a DJ at an event or a Karaoke performance satisfies their desires. I offer a salute to the essence of the Man, Al Wilson, an R & B Legend. Heaven just added another Great Lead Singer to its lineup with Al Wilson. He will stay immortal in my heart and the hearts of many via the Juke Box, played by a DJ at a event or Karaoke performance. To you for all you do Al Wilson!!

Sincerely,

Stephen Boyd 4/23/08

24.04.2008 : Vicki Bradley wrote Al's song 'Show and Tell' always makes me feel happy. He had such a soulful voice. Al should have been much bigger in the UK that he was. Although I know that anyone who knows his music will be vey sad to know he has gone. He lives on through his music. Deepest sympathy to his family.
