Officer who died in the line of duty.

Killed in a road traffic collision while he was travelling to report for early turn duty when his motorcycle was struck by a car at Bradford. A 20 year old man has been charged with causing Death by Dangerous Driving. Ian joined the Force in March 1980 serving on uniform patrol, traffic and community policing; since last year he had been stationed at Bradford as a Roads Policing Officer. He is survived by his fiancee, his parents, a brother and two children.
