i drive my car and think of you

i think of times we always had

when we lost you it was such a blow
with no place to visit or no place to go
we have our memories and the years
but somtimes its hard to hold back the tears

i never did tell you how much it really meant
it makes me think how short life can be
i hope if your spirit is around your watching over me

david ever since you passed away we have no access to your home
with no way to visit what was once your daughters home
we came together as family and think of you all day
its strange how life turns out with all its twists and turns
its hard to cope with someones death as everybody learns
i wished i said and done some things i meant to do
it was such a blow to me and your family after losing you
we drive through the village that was once our home too
thinking of all the times that we spent with you
the family celebrations we had the days we spent together
all your family have flocked like birds of a feather
so every time i think of you everyday and night
i prey to my dad help us do whats right
all the things we did together its my heart your in
i love you dad and im your next of kin
