15.09.2009 : Jen Harrison wrote Even thought its news we've been expecting its still really sad. Patrick made some great films. He was great at action thrillers, comedy and romances but for me I will always remember his face when he said -
No-one puts baby in a corner.
RIP Patrick
We will always remember you

15.09.2009 : Joyce Howell wrote To Lisa sorry about your lost , Patrick will be missed by lots of people around the world, he is in no more pain and dancing up above,
Much loved, sadly missed, never forgotten.
Never more than a thought away.
Your star shines the brightest.
Time may pass and fade away,
But silent thoughts and memories stay.
You fought so hard and now you
are so sadly missed.
Deep are the memories,
Precious they stay,
No passing of time can take them away.
Two tired eyes are sleeping, two willing hands are still,
The one who worked so hard for us is resting at God’s will.
We hold you close within our hearts and there you will remain,
To walk with us along life’s way until we meet again.
We don't ask for miracles,
But today just one will do;
To leave the door wide open,
And see you walk right through.
We would wrap our arms around you,
And kiss your smiling face,
For you were very special,
Who no one can replace.

15.09.2009 : Linda Redman wrote A hero right to the end. Thank you Patrick for all the brilliant films you did Ghost, Dirty Dancing, Road House are just a few. Your memory will always be with us and the immortal words 'No-one puts baby in a corner' will live forever. Goodnight and godbless.

15.09.2009 : Karen Cuppleitfch wrote Thank you for making my youger days extra special. You were and still are one of my idols!!!!! R.I.P. xxxxxxx

15.09.2009 : Sally Perry wrote From the moment my best friend and I rented Dirty Dancing from the video library and watched it at least four times in 24 hours I was hooked. At the tender age of 14 this film is a young girls dream and I've spent the next 20 years looking for my very own Johnny Castle!

I do now have a lovely man but I'm afraid he doesn't have the dance moves... still I don't think it's possible for anyone to have filled Patrick's/Johnny's shoes and now rather fittingly he'll be forever untouchable.

Thank you for touching my life and giving my friends and I many many years of great memories of Dirty Dancing parties, karaoke’s and fun!

Jennifer Gray's words about you totally hit the spot and I only wish I was as eloquent.

Rest in peace...

15.09.2009 : Lasting Tribute wrote Demi Moore, Patrick's co-star in the 1990 film Ghost, used the social-networking/micro-blogging website Twitter, to pay her tribute.

She wrote: "And in the words of Sam to Molly. 'It's amazing Molly. The love inside, you take it with you'. I love and will miss you Patrick."

In a separate Twitter posting she wrote: "Patrick you are loved by so many and your light will forever shine in all of our lives."

15.09.2009 : Lasting Tribute wrote Actress Jennifer Grey, who starred opposite Patrick in Dirty Dancing, said: "Patrick was a rare and beautiful combination of raw masculinity and amazing grace.

"Gorgeous and strong, he was a real cowboy with a tender heart. He was fearless and insisted on always doing his own stunts, so it was not surprising to me that the war he waged on his cancer was so courageous and dignified."

15.09.2009 : Lasting Tribute wrote Actor Rob Lowe said: He was an expert dancer, he wrote hit songs, he starred in hit movies, he was an amazing horseman. But the thing I will remember him most for was his amazing love affair with his wife, Lisa.

He played my brother twice, in The Outsiders when I was 17, and then in Youngblood.

Tonight I lost a brother.

15.09.2009 : Finnan Haddie wrote Much as I enjoyed his movies and his dancing, what I'll remember Patrick Swayze best for is dismissal of all the quacks who prey upon frightened and desperate cancer patients to make a fast buck. His best lines weren't in a movie but in an interview with Barbara Walters:

"If anybody had that cure out there, like so many people swear they do, you'd be two things. You'd be very rich, and you'd be very famous. Otherwise, shut up."

18.09.2009 : LESLEY LYNN wrote Patrick, for you and your family xx
You courage and bravery is a inspiration to us all
We will always remember you

When we come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom filled room
Why cry for a soul set free

Miss me a little..but not to long
And not with a head bowed low
Remember the love that we once shared
Miss me ..but let me go

For this is a journey we all must take
And each must go alone
Its all part of the Masters plan
As a step on the road home

When you are lonely and sick at heart
Go to the friends we know
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds
MISS ME-BUT LET ME GO.
God bless and keep you safe............Lesley

18.09.2009 : julie may wrote It's not the words, they are but few,
It's love and memories we keep of you.
A quiet thought, a hidden tear,
A constant wish that you were here.

I feel in love with this amazing actor when I was 16, watching the movie dirty dancing, was totally blown away with a guy who had such abilities to hold your attention in what ever movie he did. He loved his wife so deeply. When I heard you were sick I cryed but I also knew that you would fight all the way and that is what you did, with grace and strength.
I still cannot believe you are gone, you will live on through memories and your movies, my thoghts and prays go to your wife lisa and your family. R.I.P in the big sky with my uncle Jonny. xxxxxxxxxxx

18.09.2009 : Gill Devgon wrote To an amazing guy who I have grown up with. I've lost count of the number of times I have watched Dirty Dancing, Ghost and Road House, the first being my all time favourite film and album. I too lost my father 29 years ago to the same cancer, however from being diagnosed he only lived 2 months. Thank goodness we had Patrick for a lot longer time to enable him to leave behind more footage for us to watch for many years to come.
RIP_ Patrick, you fought so hard but you''ve no more pain to suffer... you will be forever a legend who will never ever be forgotten. My thoughts are with his dear family and friends at this very sad time. x
