STABLEFORD May (nee White). Mother, you were terrific, And by far, simply the best, I know you had to leave us, And take your well earned rest. How I miss your daily phone calls, And our shopping every week, You were a lovely lady, In fact you were unique. I loved our Tuesday evenings, When you cooked my special tea, And we had long chats together, Between yourself and me. I miss your hugs and kisses, And your tender loving ways, And the special times we shared together, Yes, those were the days. I've cried a million tears Mam, They are the tears of joy, Because I am so proud to have been your son, And privileged to be your boy. But now you have gone and left me, It's broke my heart in two, One half I will keep myself, The other half I give to you. Mam is on her way to you Dad, She is coming to live with you, So you look after our Mam, Dad, And I will look after Sue. Until we meet again. See you later.
