Your Memories

Fred was my fathers mothers younger brother, killed in the last two months of the war at the age of 20. My grandmother named her younger son, my uncle after him. My husband and I visited the grave in France in 2006 it was very moving as we have sons in their twenties like my great uncle was when he died.
My Grandmother spoke at lenghth about Fred to my elder sister when they visited the tomb of the unknown warrior. Grandma never had the chance to visit Freds grave but I feel I have been able to do that for her.
