Joan. Was suddenly taken from us on September 7th 2003 at Derbyshire Royal Infirmary, aged 81 years.

We sat and held her hand,

Watching her peacefully go,

What it means to lose her,

No one can really know.

Dearly loved wife and friend of Roy for 55 years, most precious loving mum and best friend of Pam and Jill, much loved mother-in-law of Chris and Paul, treasured, greatly loved nana of Tom, Amy, Jack, Josh and Katie. A good friend to so many, she will be sorely missed by all. Celebration of Joan's wonderful life will be at 10.30am, Wednesday September 17th 2003 at Saint Peter's Church, Littleover, followed by private family cremation. Flowers or donations welcome.
