22.09.2008 : Derrick Hale wrote A good teacher, quick to recognise skills and talents in an individual; encouraging, enthusiastic and honest in his work. Strict but fair as suggested in the Derby Evening Telegraph article, a quiet, modest man of surprising and great achievements. I learned much from him.
