Killed while travelling to duty on the Firearms Branch at Lambeth, when his motorcycle was in collision with another vehicle at Wrotham, Kent. Jerry had joined the force in 1993 after previous service in the Royal Military Police, he had been a member of the SO19 Firearms Branch since January 2000. He was survived by his wife who was expecting their child at the time of his death.
