Officer who died after responding to domestic violence incident

Police Constable Christopher David Roberts died on 26 December, 2007, aged 47.

Along with other officers, PC Roberts attended the report of a domestic incident at a house in Wembley, North London, where he was involved in a violent struggle to arrest a man inside the premises.

He subsequently collapsed outside the house and died soon afterwards from heart failure.

PC Roberts had joined the police in 1983 and served on Brent Borough since 2000 where he was stationed at Wembley Police Station on a response team.

He was survived by his wife, their daughter aged 9 and son aged 7 years, his adult son from a former marriage, and his mother and two sisters.
