Your Memories

31 years ago and it still feels like only the other day - Tom, may you and Frederik Jansen van Vuuren Rest in Peace. Your memory will live on through the ages due to the example you set for others in your chosen field of expertise - a champion in your own right amongst your peers and those close to you. Believe this or not I am one of four St Johns ambulance members that helped the stricken Tom Pryce out of his Shadow F1 car on that fatal day in March 1977. The memory will live with me forever.I was only 17 at the time robin ernest howe — 03.07.2009
11th June, 2009, the 60th anniversary of the birth of Tom Pryce - the memorial to honour this quiet, unassuming young Welshman, was unveiled by his ever radiant wife, Nella. It was a lovely sunny day in Ruthin and the good turnout in Upper Clwyd Street was a tribute to this young Welshman who so tragically lost his life in my homeland, South Africa, in 1977. A big thank you to all the members of the trust fund who worked tirelessly to see this venture reach fruition. Thank you too to Nella Pryce and Gwyneth and Jack Pryce for giving us permission to honour Thomas Maldwyn Pryce. Eddie Knipe — 20.09.2009
