I had the good fortune to meet DJ Fontana and the Sweet Inspirations a few weeks ago and talked to them about their memories of the king. It was the saddest day when he passed on but his music will never die. He was and still is the King.

We stayed at Heartbreak Hotel, surperb place and the people who work there, but Graceland was fantastic. We could feel the king's presence. The number of discs he recorded and the awards he won over the years was fantastic. Boy what memories to take home to Wales. We will go back there soon - a great man, a great performer, the best. One of my memories is capturing one of his scarfs i received at his concert in 1976. I also carry a photo that was taken at his concert in 1977 which i was lucky to be at that one also where he is smiling at me i will cherish that photo forever. He will forever be remembered in my heart and his music will live forever.
28.09.2008 : Lisa Marie Smith wrote I have fulfilled a dream this year by taking part in the 2008 candle light vigil at Gracelands, visiting the home Elvis loved so dearly and spending the night in the bedroom that belonged to Elvis when he lived at The Lauderdale apartments with his parents when he was a teenager!! A total dream come true!! The atmosphere at Gracelands during the candlelight vigil is undiscribable. I felt very emotional stood at the foot of Elvis's grave, it was 12.30a.m and half an hour into the annaversary of his death but also the day of my 40th Birthday - very surreal!! Thousands of people all in one place for one reason - respecting the memory of one truly great person - ELVIS PRESLEY.

I love him so much I hope to go to Graceland next year.I am just getting over a cancer operation. and I would like to go before I leave this earth. so I am hoping I will be well enough to go I pray to God. I am 63yrs now I wisheed I had gone to graceland 3when i was young still I am sure I will be there soon. when i went to see his films I would dance in asile with my friends
I have all his records and LPS since 1956.
I have lots of pictures in my computer room that mine and Elvis room. must go now

18.10.2008 : linda turner wrote Elvis forever in my heart, ive been a fan since i was 9years old im now 45, my dad bought me an 8 track back in 1971 with 2 elvis cassettes i was hooked, the 8 track is long gone, however my memories live on, my sister jokes that i see more of elvis than anyone else, as theres memorabilia everywhere & almost always a film on when she comes to me. GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN!!
