25.07.2008 : Patricia Malcuit wrote The first I heard of Randy Pausch was on the Oprah show. The words 'I have pancreatic cancer' hit me like a bullet, you see my husband died of that awful cancer in 2005, he was only 53 at the time. He lived the same way Randy did with the 7 months that he had.
To his family and friends I grieve with you at this time and hope that God will keep you all in peace.

27.07.2008 : Leslie Lach wrote I saw Randy on Oprah and with Diane Sawyer. Seeing him on Oprah's rerun in a UPMC hospital helped me deal with my father's esophagus cancer.
In life, you feel so grateful for the people you have met.
I feel fortunate and grateful that I was able to have seen Randy on TV and learned who he was.
Just the story of pouring cola in his car has made such an impact in my life. I have no children, but nieces and nephews. I followed his lead and nothing compares to the looks of relief and laughter on their faces and the love I felt knowing I made them feel at ease.
Listening to him, he confirmed that it is best to be a "TIgger" and make the best out of life. Tell the truth and there is no room for regrets.
To all that have made sure the world knew about Randy,
I thank you from the bottom of my heart because knowing who he was has impacted my life and I am so grateful to have known who he was. The world has lost a rare, unique and magnificent man and my heart grieves for his family.

28.07.2008 : Gareth Mullan wrote Having randomly discovered Randy's lecture I would like to add that it is rare to encounter such an inspirational human being - I read with avid interest his daily blog for months. Whilst I am sure that his family are truly devastated at their loss, I am sure, that in time, it will prove a great comfort that he has made his mark on society at large. Their loss is incomprehensible to us all but his words, thoughts and passion will hopefully burn bright and will encourage us all to grow and be stronger human beings. For his children, wife and those left behind, you are truly blessed to have had a spirit such as his in your life, albeit for such a short amount of time. What a wonderful and thoughtful gift to leave his precious children and wife. Randy Pausch was such an extraordinary person. We should all strive to have such postive views on life and have so much love in our hearts. The world is dimmer without Randy Pausch in it but heaven is much brighter.

I have to say I was so inspired by him! I have been checking in to his website every day to see his progress, and I am saddened that he has passed.

My thoughts are with his wife, children and his family, such a loss.

30.07.2008 : Bobi Moler wrote Dear Family, I saw Randy when they did the hour long documentary own him. He really touched my life, and he made me realize how lucky I was because I was told in March 08 that I had pancreatitic cancer. They had sent some tissues off to see if it was the fast or slow cancer. I have the clips in me for the chemo and radiation. On Friday March 7th, the surgeon came into my ICU room and told me and my parents that the tissues came back and the cancer was gone. I was healed from this teribble stuff. My family did not want me to watch this that night on tv, but I had too. He was amd will always have a special place in my life because he is a true fighter of this cancer. He will always be an angel looking out for all of us, and I am glad that he was a true fighter for this diease. All of you are in my prayers.
