ORMAN On October 30th 2004. Gilbert H. H., suddenly at Eastleigh Care Home, Minehead, at the age of 95. Sadly missed by his wife of sixty four years, Winifred; by their only son, Reverend John Orman of Victoria, B.C. Canada, his wife Reverend Pam Orman, granddaughters Clare and Karen, grand- son-in-law Robert, great- grandsons Andrew and Elijah, nephew Graham and his wife Rose and six great-nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.

Gilbert loved God, his Church and family. In younger days he loved numerous pets. His loves included walking, gardening and history. In later years he bravely fought declining health with a positive and uncomplaining spirit.

Educated at Kings School Ottery St. Mary, and then in fruit farm management. He was a life member of the National Association of Chiropodists, an occupation which he saw as service and enjoyed for over forty years.

During World War Two he undertook first aid and rescue work in London and Plymouth.
