His family although devastated had the opportunity of having 16 years of something special and those memories will never be erased.

The Jimmy Mizens of this world are rare, and anything that is rare you have to search for. A diamond you cannot find just like that, you have to dig for it, the family of Jimmy had a diamond in their home, and they knew it, they looked after it, polished it, and it glowed and is still so precious.

So to all those who believe in violence..for the sake of Jimmy and in memory to him..please lay down your weapons before it's too late.

Jimmy seems such a lovely boy, the kind the world needs. He reminds me of my son, and I guess that's why it affects me so much. He is a testament to his parents, and I hope your community, you faith and each other is some kind of comfort at this time which is so, so sad.

I, like many in this country, have watched with heartfelt dismay the pointless deaths of so many young, unfulfilled young lives, throughout the UK. I look back over my life and think about all that I have seen and experienced in adulthood since my teenage years. Not all of it has been great, there have been personal as well as family issues to deal with, but these, over time, have been dealt with. It saddens me to the core that Jimmy, who would have made such a wonderful contribution to this country just by his being here, has been taken from us and his family by a mindless act of unimaginable violence before having the time to show how even more wonderful he might have been. My heart goes out to Jimmy's parents,family and friends at this sad time of loss. I am glad though that Margaret, Barry and the family have such wonderful memories of their teenage son. Maybe if all parents could, with justification, be this proud, our society would benefit greatly. God Bless Jimmy, well done Margaret, Barry and family. Be proud.

It seems we have yet another victim of another senseless attack in this country (we have another one only today) My heart goes out to his parents and all those parents grieving for the loss of their children.

Jimmy's death is such a tragedy, made even more so by the fact that his parents have shown us a level of dignity that most in the human race can only aspire to, but all should try to seek.

Something has to change. And change soon.

To be taken away like that is so sad and so unnecessary. I hope they get justice with the capture and punishment of the youth who did this. He must be the most hated youth at the moment. But for Jimmy's family to show how supportive they are to each other and not to hold anger towards the 'youth' who did this, shows what a remarkable family they are.

I have lost my father, boyfriend and dog but not to murder, so I don't know how they must be feeling. I can only imagine.

You are the child that every parent dreams of and your every action on the day that you died showed just what a wonderful person your parents raised.

It is so wrong that I am writing this, because you should be here now safe with your family, my only hope and belief as a Christian is that you are now safely in heaven. How ever small a comfort that may be.

Your parents truely blessed this world the day they brought you into it, and you blessed it every day that you lived in it. I offer them my every best wish and prayer and hope that some how they can find a way to live with out seeing your lovely face every day.
I have lost a child, my son, and I know the huge task that they face. There are no words I can say to help them, but I know that where ever you are you will do all you can to help them live their lives.

I read about Jimmy in the Singapore newspaper and gave him a goodbye kiss on his forehead, I prayed for his soul to be in heaven, I told him to look out for my mum, who is in heaven, Manjit and she will take care of him till Margeret will re unite with him one day I got this over whelming sense that he is all right. God Bless

Your Christian love and determination to avoid hate, anger and retribution is an amazing example to us all. It makes me feel very, very humble - and entirely inadequate.

As a family you are clearly such a strong unit that I am sure you will cope somehow with this terrible tragedy.

Perhaps your strength and love will lead many of us to re-examine how we too can lead better lives and hopefully this may be Jimmys legacy.
