19.07.2007 : Ian Scott wrote I was at a meeting with Anne the day before she died. She was on excellent form - as sparkly-eyed and incisive as always. I voiced a rather jaundiced opinion of teenagers and their (to my mind) materialistic motivations. Anne immediately rose to their defence, citing her grandchildren. She believed strongly that young people truly cared about those less fortunate than themselves, and about big contemporary issues like global warming and food security. As ever, from Anne, I believe I gained in wisdom, and questioned the validity of a polarised view. [Ian Scott]
