Richard, it still hasn't sunk in...

My sincere and deepest thoughts are with your wife and your 3 beautiful children.
It was a pleasure knowing you and working with you.
You were a laugh a minute, A very kind genuine bloke who loved life and loved his family dearly.
You were always talking about them, and comparing your boys terrible 2's stories with mine!
We will all miss you terribly...
The hospital won't be the same without you.
You were the worlds best charge nurse...I will miss your stories and your well known facts, You did make us laugh!
Always smiling and having a joke.
I would always look forward to a shift with "LARKIN"...
You were always late for the breaks, cos you were gas-bagging! (I know you read those gossip mags, while i wasn't looking)
And thinking of you doing the samba, will always bring a smile!
I am thinking of your family, and feel so sad for their loss, you were a fantastic guy!
I Will never forget you, You were definitely one of the BEST!
Miss you Larkin xxx

I knew Richard "Pop" from 1994 and have too many memories from him laughing at me whilst I'm upto my chest in a river with a bergan on, eating bread pudding on mountains in Brecon, watching him do a haka in a female nurses uniform in a village pub, booking the worst accomodation ever in Edinburgh, swimming the severn in Bewdley on a stag night, and laughing at his mono brow.
He was super fit and always one of guys to keep up with.
He was devoted to Teresa and his beautiful children. All I can say is that I'm gutted that this wonderful, funny, steadfast man has gone. I'm so glad that I got to see him at christmas. Love to all his family. Andy

I'm just stunned and so sad to hear this terrible news. I knew "Pop" for almost 18 years. We served together and laughed together.

Pop was such an all-rounder, good at everything, and one of the nicest guys you could ever wish to meet. My lasting memories of him are that he always seemed to be coming back from a long tab somewhere, bergen on his back.

He had such a wry sense of humour, and memories of those Sunday morning church parades, where we all desperately struggled to hold back the tears of laughter at his antics, are all the more treasured now.

Rest in peace mate, you fought a hard fight and I will miss you.
