In loving memory of a dear Dad and Grandad, who we lost one year ago 7th November.

I sat beside your bedside Dad,

My heart was crushed and sore,

I did my duty to the end,

Til I could do no more,

In tears I watched you sinking,

I watched you slip away,

And though my heart was breaking,

I knew you could not stay,

You taught me many things in life,

That I will always do,

But you never taught me dad,

How to cope with losing you.
