17.09.2007 : Miranda Johnson wrote I was sorry to hear of Mr. Jordan's passing. Although I never met or knew him personally, it was his books that prompted me to write fantasy. I can only imagine the void that you feel with him gone now but you still have each other to remember the good times and share how much you loved him. Hugs to all:)

17.09.2007 : Samuel Limaverde wrote The Dragon's dead, and although I don't believe that we'll be born again or we'll meet those we love in the afterlife, just for once I wish I did because as a writer sometimes I dreamed of showing him the script of my book and I really wanted to thank him for all the wonderful moments I had reading his books, which were for me more than fiction, always reminding me of my childhood dreams. A bright candle died away, but may his work keep fresh in our memories how beautiful its flame was. May the light shine upon him.

After 6 children and 10 years, the afternoon my brother and I spent at a book signing with Mr Rigney, is still one of the most treasured and moving experiences of my life. The picture of the 3 of us together reminds me ever day to strive to be a better man then I am. He will be forever cherished and remembered in our family as my children carry the names of his vision Shau'rae Egwane & Horatio Matrim Longden.

These books got me interested in adult fantasy, opening the door to so much more, and making me the person I am today. Matrim Cauthon was a hero to me.

Robert Jordan, rest in peace, gone but not forgoten. as the Aiel say, "life is but a dream, from which all must leave before they can dream again.

If not for these books I would probably not be here and I will be forever grateful. Robert Jordan's death was a horrible shock, but I know that he will be remembered as one of the most remarkable people of all time. I am sad that I only just started reading his books about a year ago and sad that I have not finished beyond the fifth I feel like I am letting him down. None the less I am reading on, and pray that if they do finish his book for him that they do it justice and take nothing out and leave nothing out. May flights of angels wing you to your rest.

01.08.2008 : Bennett Riffel wrote The Wheel of Time series was the first big book i ever tackled. It then opened up a large host of literature that i never before looked at, Tolkien and Homer came next but Jordan was always the master in my eyes.
14.04.2009 : Joyce Keating wrote I have been a reader of fantasy fiction for many years but have read no one as good as Robert Jordan. The structuring of his plots is intricate and always unpredictable. His characters well drawn, loveable and "human". In short, I miss him and his amazing talent. JLK
