Officer who died in the line of duty.

Killed in a road traffic accident while cycling to his home in Billericay after finishing a tour of duty in the Information Room at New Scotland Yard. Alan had completed 17 years service, mostly in East London and at the time of his death was a Team Inspector in the Force information Room. He was survived by his wife and three children.
