12.03.2009 : ALAN MASON wrote I first met Roger in 1978 at the Con Club where he enjoyed snooker and the bandits.He got me interested in Train Spotting which led to many enjoyable days out.Having lived near him all the time since we first met we have also enjoyed many evenings at his house witha drink or 3.The Queen in the West opposite my house will not be the same on Saturdays now without his wit and knowledge filling the lounge.A dear loss to myself and to all who knew him.Alan.M Request removal

I was very shocked to hear that he has died and I will miss all his wildlife news. He was always such a cheery chap and had such a lot of knowledge about wildlife. He will be missed very much.
