02.07.2008 : Alan Thwaites wrote My grandfather knew Terry well, I met him a few times at their place in Liverpool, he was a good bloke. He had principles and wasn't afraid to stand up for what he believed in. That's rare these days, and he was a rare fellow indeed. He kept his word, he never changed. He was a working politician on a working mans money. Good on you Terry, and god bless.

02.07.2008 : Liz Fowkes wrote What an amazing politician. I remember when he was jailed for not paying the poll tax. He was prepared to fight for justice and my god he worked damn hard to try and get it. Terry fields was a decent human being and a true socialist and stood up for what he believed in.I myself will never forget him and feel this country owes him a great deal of gratitude, after all it was because of him and others like him,that this country got rid of the poll tax.. My heart goes out to his family and friends at this very sad time.SIR TERRY FIELDS I SALUTED YOU IN LIFE,AS I DO IN YOUR DEATH. R.I.P
