Nanna we all miss you very very much. You were a wonderful, kind, loving and dignified lady.

You truly did have a ‘nice smile’.

I was amazed and touched to find out that you had kept that note I wrote to you over 30 years ago, when I could have been no older than 6 or 7 years old, it simply said:

‘Nanna you have a nice smile. Love Hayley xxxx’

And it was very true. I am looking after that note for you now.

I have so many great memories which I am grateful for, such as making toast on the fire, trying to help you with your crosswords (even though you never needed much help) and listening to all your stories and the rhymes and ditties that you used to recall.

You are never far from our thoughts.

Love as always from Hayley xxx.

Your Memories

One year has gone by since you had to leave us Mum. I have been so lonely without you. As time goes by I love and miss you more and more,
I am sure by now you have found Joyce and will be looking after one another.

All my love, Hazel.

Hello Mum, Stephen and I spent special time together on Monday, your 92nd birthday, we sang "Happy Birthday Mum in heaven" and hoped that in some way you could feel all the love we have for you,
Each morning when I wake up I see your eyes smiling at me from your photo and I think how lucky I am to have had such a very special lady for my Mum. I will always miss you Mum.
Lots of love from Hazel. xxx
