19.03.2008 : jennie sinkins wrote Chris Dear Dear Chris What can one say about, such a caring loving lady, she was one in a million, nothing was to much trouble for her, has people that knew her will know. It was a real honour knowing Chris and a real privilege to have had her for one of my best friends. She done so much for my family and myself, for which I couldn't thank her enough, she will never be forgotten. She done so much for everyone she knew and loved. It's such a waste taking Chris from her loving family so early. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to them all, as she really did love them and was so proud of them all. Knowing Chris she is now up there helping to sort out the Garden, which she will enjoy doing as she did at home. Thinking of you always Chris Till we meet again With my love Goda XXX Add memory |  Request removal

19.03.2008 : jennie sinkins wrote Roy, minibus driver and friend. I Worked with Chris from 1984 until my retirement in 2002, but still remained friends until her untimely passing. They say greatness is a gift to be worked at and Chris did just that. She spent more time at the Donald Thomas Centre doing things she wouldn't ask others to do. In all the time I knew her we never had a serious row but laughs we had plenty. She inspired all around her to do things they normally wouldn't do like Christmas shows, quiz nights and even fashion parades. She had time and tenderness in abundance for those who needed it. Helping others was Chris's aim and she achieved that with flair. To sum up, Chris was the kind of person others tried to achieve but couldn't quite make it. If other people get awards for doing less this lady should have received an MBE. I call Chris a lady because that was what she was, thinking of others before herself. My heart goes out to Gordon, Richard and Kirstie and family for their sad loss. Thinking of you always, Roy. XXX Add memory |  Request removal
