16.12.2008 : Dom Ryder wrote Lee and I met at basic training in 1994 in Bassingbourne and became great friends. We went on through training, driver training, (sharing the same truck!) and to 42 Eng Regt.
If we went out at weekends it was usually together with Beetle, Eddie, Andy, Daz and the lads. Lee even came to my home town with me on weekend leave.
I'll always remember the loads of laughs we had, we were always joking around and taking the mickey out of each other!!
Lee was a terrific soldier and an even better mate. My thoughts go out to his family and friends left behind.
A great bloke who will be missed.

Me Dom and the rest of the lads who went through training will remember his larger than life enthusiasm in everything he did. We had many nights out having fun as lads do and Lee was usually at the centre of the joke.
Lee had just taken up playing rugby for 42 in my final 18 months and he was developing into a solid player who could be relied upon to get stuck in when it mattered.

A good lad whose life was cut short.

Rest in Peace Lee.

Never a dull moment when he was around he could certainly be a handful, the fact he was so popular among his peers is down to the fact that he was a normal down to earth bloke who just wanted the best out of life.
What has happened is tragic, however, Lee will live on in legend and has already caused more than one giggle in the time since his untimely departure from this world as we recountes some of his exploits.
No doubt the angels are now pulling their hair out as he clips their wings and moves their clouds because I can guarantee that is what he will be doing.
Lee, you left us too early but we will remember you with a smile on our faces, hopefully we will see you again in another time.

Lee and I went to school together and were childhood sweetheats for a couple of years. Recently back in touch through bebo I was delighted to know he was doing so well. Beautiful children that he was sooooo proud of.
I am devastated about the news of him parting this world but everyone that knows him will know that he would be watching us and quite simply taking the mickey out of everything, not least people mourning him. He will be reveling in this glory.
I will always have happy memories of Lee. Especially when he phoned me to tell me he had almost chopped his nose off!!.....ONLY LEE!!!! I thought!
To all his family I send my deepest sympathy and hope you can find strength in happy memories. I send my love to you all.
To all his friends toast him with me this christmas and remember goodtimes.
