Her voice is angelic, uplifting, sad and can conjure up many emotions.
My Father loved her and 'Rainbow' was played at his funeral in 2006.

26.10.2008 : SHEILA HOLROYD wrote The beautiful song by Eve Cassidy, "Fields of Gold" was played at the funeral of a schoolfriend of mine, Sylvia who sadly passed away last week. It was a beautiful song and one that seemed very appropriate for her funeral.Sylvia was a lovely person and it was so difficult for her family to cope with her loss. Her husband had only died 2 years ago. Their daughter Emma has now to cope with losing both parents in a short space of time.

I don't know a great deal about Eve Cassidy but she was a very talented woman. Her voice is magical and it is so sad that she was only 33 years old when she died. Thankfully her beautiful voice can live on.

I will never understand why the nicest, most talented people, those that have so much to give to the world we live in, are taken away from us when they have so much to offer the world.

She draws you into her songs, captivates you and takes you on a magical journey. Eva stands for Evolutionary Voice of extreme Ability. I love all her songs but there are two songs that are just out of this world. Over the Rainbow and Autumn Leaves. No one has or ever will, I believe, capture them like Eva did. Its just so sad she is not here today and never knew how wonderfully moving her singing is. She thought she was only good enough to be a backup singer. She was so much more. She is truly a legend in her own right - like Marilyn Monroe. Never to be forgotten, she lives on.
