21.05.2008 : Graeme Semple wrote I had the pleasure of meeting Tommy a couple of times and he made a big impression as a courteous and a very humerous man. He will be sadly missed at my club, Kilmarnock, where he gave us back our status as a top flight team. Celtic will miss him more because he was part of the foundations of the club. Scotland as a whole will miss him. A genuinely nice guy.

21.05.2008 : Katie Ramsay wrote I would just like to express my sympathy
for tommy's family. He will be sadly missed by

R.I.P

22.05.2008 : Craig Livingstone wrote Although Tommy will always be considered a Celtic man, and his love for the club cannot be questioned, my first experiences of him, and in fact my first experiences of football itself, were during his spell as player manager at Killie. Tommy remains to this day one of the best players I have witnessed in blue and white stripes, and my condolences go out to his family and friends. Tommy was an honest professional and a shining light in Scottish football and will be sorely missed by all.

22.05.2008 : sandy morrison wrote A legend for Celtic and a wonderful ambassador for Scottish football. The game will be poorer without him. He will never be forgotten by true football fans whatever team they support. My heartfelt respects to his family.
A Blue Nose.
RIP Tommy.

22.05.2008 : helen clark wrote I took my son to see pope John Paul in Glasgow. Tommy was in the same part of the park as us. My son missed the pope, he was too busy staring at his hero, so Tommy can always say you upstaged the pope. Rest in peace

22.05.2008 : jamie ross wrote On the 16th of May I was so gloating to one of my Rangers friends about their loss in the UEFA cup final when he broke the news of Tommy. He was more upset about our loss than losing the UEFA cup which to me and most footballing fans all over sums Tommy up, great man and player. R.I.P Tommy with love to your familyx
