10.08.2007 : STEPHEN PARKIN wrote Martin was dearly loved and a big part of our family, we saw a boy grow into a kind and loving man who will be missed greatly, i reguarded him as my son and my sons reguarded him as a brother, my daughter was to marry him soon and we where proud for both of them, all in our home will miss his presence, and will forever have a spot in our hearts for him. We have many memories we will treasure of this young man lost to us in his prime.

11.08.2007 : Rachael beard wrote Martin was and always will be my baby brother. i was so proud of him when he joined the RAF, and so was the rest of his family. we all knew he could go far. he had a cheeky way about him. he will be dearly missed and i cant imagine my life with out him in it, i just want to hear the way he calls me sweetie and how it was more like martin was the older one rather than me. i miss you lil bro and will always love and be proud of you!
14.08.2007 : Lynda Jones wrote I met Martin about five years ago shortly after his oldest Sister Victoria started dating my son Andy. I soon came to love this smart funny young man. When Andy and Victoria married in May Martin flew back from Basra to give her away - and what a fantastic job he did too. I considered Martin to be part of my family not merely an "in law". My heart goes out to his fiancee Nic who has borne this tragedy with courage & dignity.Love also to Victoria and Rachael who once again have lost one of their nearest and dearest.

A boy who turned into a loveable young Man who won the hearts and admeration from his huge family . The day of his passing out was the proudest day i can remember. We will miss him dearly but love him always. He is resting in peace with his mum who will take care of him and love him once again. Will miss you Martin glad i got to say goodby .. 18.12.2007 : Andrew Jones wrote I will never forget the years I knew Martin, from a chubby teenager when I first met him, to the great man and brave soldier he became. I will always cherish the year he lived with Victoria, Rachael and Me, we have some great memories of those times. I was so proud when Martin became my Brother in Law, and so happy we had that special day with him. He is so sadly missed not only by us but by his whole family, and Nic's family with whom he lived for some time too, and I know he saw them as his own family and looked forward to becoming Nic's husband. Such a tragic loss, he will never be forgotten.
27.06.2008 : Lasting Tribute wrote The Woodland Trust was proud and pleased to help organise and co-host the woodland commemoration in The Birches as part of the celebration of Martin’s life on June 22. Woodlands are peaceful, spiritual places and woodland dedication is a wonderful way of marking any number of events in our lives. The group fund that was opened in Martin’s memory on our website (www.dedicatetrees.com) raised enough donations from family, friends, his regiment and other well-wishers to dedicate an acre grove with a post and plaque, but smaller areas can be dedicated too. This grove will carry Martin’s name forever, so will always remain a very special place for his family and friends to visit. It certainly looked the part on Sunday, with sunlight dappling through the trees, a background of birdsong and the tranquillity and sense of permanence that our woodland offers. The Birches is just one of over 1000 Trust woods around the UK in which woodland dedications can be made, and the donations raised help the Trust, the UK’s leading woodland conservation charity, to rescue and restore ancient woodland and create new native woods for everyone to enjoy, for free.

02.05.2009 : Stephanie Tutin wrote Martin was an awesome cousin and even though I didn't really see him alot , when i did he could always make me smile. I remember at a family party once i was feeling down and he came up and sat with me, and he automatically makes you laugh or puts a smile on your face. He was a great Brave person and he will always be remembered.
