In memory of the RAF serviceman who died on a training exercise in the Bavarian Alps.

The airman, who has not yet been publicly named, was caught in an avalanche while skiing on the Riedbergerhorn, in Oberstdorf.

His next of kin have been informed.

He was part of a group of 27 British servicemen doing backcountry ski training.

Two others engulfed in the avalanche survived.
