Police roll of honour trust

Celebrating the lives of our fallen heroes

In this special section, put together in partnership with the Police Roll of Honour Trust, we feature tributes to almost 4,000 UK police officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty since the first recorded deaths of officers in the 1600s.

The roll includes officers who sacrificed their lives for others, those who died at the hands of criminals or enemy air raids, as well as those who died of misadventure, accidents or natural causes.
